2022 6 Hour - change of format

29 Sep 2022 by Daz Whitehead

Due to a low number of entries the 2022 6 hour endurance race will have a change of format.
The schedule will be changed to give 6 hours of track time over the weekend.
Basic format will now be:
1200-1240 Practice
1300-1320 Qualifying
1400-1440 Race 1
1500-1540 Race 2
1600-1640 Race 3
The plan is the repeat the same schedule on both days, with the track direction being reversed on the Sunday.
Points will be awarded by group for qualifying and races, then totalled up over both days.
Awards will be presented for Group and Overall Winner.
Overall Winner will be determined by total laps over the 6 races.
In the event of a tie for Group awards, greatest number of race laps over all 6 races will decide highest position. If this is the same, fastest qualifying lap from either session will be the decider.
In the event of a tie for Overall awards, fastest qualifying lap from either session will be the decider.

Ideally, this will be a single driver event, however we will still accept team entries. Any awards given will be shared between multiple drivers if you enter as a team.

Saturday daily briefing will be at 1000hrs, Sunday at 1100hrs

Hope to see you there
